Well, I don't completely disagree with you. The NBC issue is a non-issue to me, I'd find it odd if they weren't pushing GE products. And GE has a line of the so called "green" products you speak of. NBC would peddle astro turf under the guise of green week if it made them money...and that doesn't bother me either. That's capitalism, if people don't like it they can move...caveat emptor and such.

I think we all get caught up a little, it's unfair for me to assume all republicans are douchebags just because I've met a few that fit the criteria, just as it's unfair to say most environmentalists feel this way or that. Honestly it depends who you are listening to.

We will have to agree to disagree in regards to the global warming issue and the role we play, but that's cool. Thanks for the comment, always good to discuss the issues.

Basic conservation doesn't bother me. But two things do:
1) NBC under the guise of "Green Week" consistently pushes GE's (parent company) products. It's their right to do so, just feel dishonest to me and so I get upset.

B) No the Earth does not have unlimited resources and we should always do our part slow our draining of said resources (because you should also be coloring if you believe we will 100% be completely free of using up those resources). But most people use these tools...Green Week, Earth Day, etc....to push people into believing that humans are the cause of this so-called "Global Warming" phenomenon and that we should be riddled with guilt because of it. That upsets me.

Honestly, I think the environmentalist are taking completely the wrong tactic. They should be pushing the cost savings aspect like crazy instead of the guilt card. Do things that are labeled "Green" because in the end it saves quite a bit of money, and that's something environmentalist and whatever-you-call-the-other-side alike can get behind.
